Using a stand mixer to make cookies?

I make cookies every few days for my family, needless to say I make tons of batches. For xmas I got a kitchenaid stand mixer and each batch I’ve made with it the cookies have turned out crunchier and less chewy than when I use a hand mixer or mix by hand. I’m using the same recipes I always use. Is there any reason using the stand mixer would make the cookies less chewy?

You could be overworking the dough. Since you have the stand mixer you might be putting the ingredients in the bowl and doing other things now that you don’t have to hold it. I use a KitchenAid also. I measure all of my ingredients out and have them in containers ready to use. Once everything is measured I start mixing. I only mix as long as necessary. I bake, literally, hundreds of cookies at Christmas and I have no problem with the texture. I love my mixer and don’t know what I would do without it.

stand mixer is not good always, but let me eat one of your recipes then probably i can tell you more.
